SLATE is a project initially created for the Hotel ZaZa group by Royal Wine & Spirits, LLC, to showcase the diversity and accessibility of the very best expressions of appellation driven wines from across California. Using their unparalleled reach and access into the State’s best growing regions, vintner David Green and master winemaker Maayan Koschitzky style these wines which showcase the best varietal expressions possible.

Joining the partners on the production side is winemaker Remington Jorgensen, a Dallas native who’s young winemaking career reads like the who’s who of viticultural pedigree. She’s worked harvests at Chateau du Beaucastle, Opus One, Alejandro Bulgheroni and for the past 2 years, as Maayan’s understudy for Atelier Melka (Lail, Vice Versa, Dana Estates, Brand, Chateau Boswell, etc.)

As their other brands are known for, these wines punch way above their weight. Remington seeks to make opulent reds and bright, mineral-driven whites for the SLATE labels. As Jeb Dunnuck has said repeatedly about their portfolio . . .
